Disney World’s Yachtsman’s’ Club Resort Review
The Yachtsman Club Resort is a deluxe resort at Walt Disney World within a short walking distance of Epcot. Disney World has three levels of resorts, value, moderate, and deluxe, and deluxe being the best of the resorts.
The biggest perk of the Yachtsman’s is its close proximity to several attractions, 5–7-minute walking distance to Epcot, 5-minute walking distance to Disney’s Board Walk, 20 minutes to Hollywood Studios, or take a short boat ride to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, or the Board Walk. You can also catch the sky liner at the entrance to Epcot.
Since the Yachtsman’s resort is a deluxe resort, you get to enjoy early entry to the theme parks, and when the parks offer Extended Evening Hours which is extra hours at selected theme parks, only deluxe resort guests are allowed early entry currently.
The Yachtsman decor is all nautical but is not done over the top. It offers views of the gardens, pool, or water view.
Most of the pool areas including Stormalong Bay are shared with the Beach Club Resort, however there was a pool and hot tub that were on one side of the Yachtsman’s that actually we ended up loving because it was not a kid themed area like Stormalong Bay that it actually ended up being so quiet and relaxing.
Our room consisted of 2 queen beds, and a sleeper sofa, with a balcony where you could sit and enjoy coffee, or a glass of wine. Ours had a partial view of water, and garden area.
The floors were all laminated wood, which was nicer than having carpet! The beds were platform beds so there was plenty of room for luggage under the bed to store if you want.
The bathroom had a door separating the shower and toilet from the double sink vanity area, which really was nice while getting ready in the morning while someone else was in shower. We also had plenty of complimentary toiletries provided such as mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.
The room also had a small desk that you could use as a desk or vanity area.
There was a Keurig coffee machine, with Joffrey’s coffee offered, and a fridge. I’m not crazy about the Keurig machine, but our room even being a standard room was close to the Marketplace where we filled our resort mugs with fresh coffee every day. Our room was down the hall from the main lobby elevators, so we were close to the lobby and to the walkway to Epcot. Always ask for a certain location room if you want, Disney cannot guarantee that room, but they are usually great at fulfilling requests.
There were lots of dining options at the Yachtsman’s, and next door at the Beach Club resort, one being Beaches and Cream, an old soda fountain fun restaurant! Since we were walking distance to the Board Walk, we got to enjoy even more eating places.
The Yachtsman’s resort is now in my top favorite resorts at Disney! This trip I really wanted to enjoy the amenities at the resort, so enjoying the hot tub and pool in the quiet area was nice! I would highly recommend this resort; however it can be a little pricey to stay here, but I used my annual pass discount, and we got a great price! Definitely worth it!
